May 10, 2008 GWINNETT COUNTY MASONIC ASSOCIATION My Brothers, family and friends , We are having a good time at our Gwinnett County Masonic Association meetings and the May meeting hosted by Grayson Lodge # 549 will be No Exception. We should have a great crowd for this meeting – Gwinnett County Commissioner Lorraine Green will be our keynote speaker for the evening. Ms. Green's subject will be our county’s illegal immigration problems and what the county, but more especially the Sheriff, has come up with to battle this "thorn in our side". If all goes well she be accompanied by Sheriff Butch Conway who will assist in a Q. & A. session on the topic. Bring someone along and join us : Saturday, May 10th, at 6:30 for a fine meal & 7:30 for the meeting. We will be meeting in the Senior Citizens Hall, in the park just behind the City Hall complex, across and down the street from Grayson Lodge. Please don't miss this one for sure!!!! Come out and support Your Association and please remember our Secret Santa Christmas Meal program. We are collecting Individual & Lodge donations all year long so that we can give a nice holiday feast to those less-fortunate in our communities. Our slogan "Can you give up one meal a month so that others can have that one meal a year” is the driving force !! Thanks in advance for your support, Fraternally yours, Bro. Tommy Morris , Pres. |

On Monday, December 10, 2007, the newly elected and appointed officers were obligated and escorted to their stations for the coming year. We were fortunate enough to have Worshipful Brother Jerry Moss, First Grand Steward, and Worshipful Brother Tommy Towler to preside over the ceremonies. |

The scouts would like to invite all members of Grayson Lodge to a brunch on Saturday, February 9, 2008, 10:00 AM. They will be camping out on Friday night after setting up a mock camp complete with tents, a gateway that will be built with timbers and lashings and several other camp gadgets. On Saturday morning the scouts plan to escort the members of the Lodge and any quests around the camp, showing skills that they have learned and answering any questions. The scouts will raise the American flag and then say grace before we serve breakfast. UPDATE: There were several Masons in attendance. Thank you all who were able to make it. It was a great time, and there was plenty of food! The scouts had smoked loin, ham, bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, monkey bread, and Beignets. |
